SPECIAL MEETING
OCTOBER 23, 2007
GALWAY TOWN HALL

Supervisor Hargrave called the special meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.  The following Town Board Members were present:

PRESENT:       Supervisor George Hargrave                 Councilwoman Susan Sutch
Councilman George Weed

ABSENT:        Councilman Michael Tillson                   Councilman William Topper

OTHERS PRESENT:     M. DeFoe, Town Clerk.   

Pledge to the Flag

Town Clerk read the legal notice placed in The Daily Gazette on October 16, 2007 advising public of Special Town Board Meeting being held on October 23, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall to set salary figures for elected officials needed for the public hearing on the 2008 Budget set for November 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

RESOLUTION # 69-2007 - Supervisor Hargrave read proposed salary figures for elected officials.  Town Clerk requested a copy of Preliminary Budget since she was not provided with one.  Supervisor Hargrave gave Clerk a copy.  On a motion of Councilwoman Sutch, seconded by Councilman Weed the following resolution was ADOPTED AYES –3            NAYS – 0
      RESOLVED that the Galway Town Board set the following salary’s figures for the Preliminary Budget as stated by Supervisor:  Supervisor - $13,000; Councilmember’s (4 each) - $3,700; Highway Superintendent - $51,500; Town Clerk - $22,280.
     All ayes.                                                                  MOTION CARRIED

Councilman Weed made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Sutch to adjourn the special meeting at 6:35 p.m.
     All ayes.                                                                  MOTION CARRIED
