Town Clerk read the legal notice placed in The Daily Gazette
on
RESOLUTION # 35-2006
- Set date for bid opening for phase two
of playing field. Board went into
discussion regarding scope of work, legal advertising time frame and reasonable
time to allow bidders to obtain packets from Environmental Design & submit
proposal. On a motion of Councilwoman Sutch,
seconded by Councilman Weed the following resolution was ADOPTED AYES – 4 NAYS – 0
RESOLVED that the Galway Town Board notify
bidders that sealed proposals will be received by the Office of the Town Clerk
of the Town of Galway, Saratoga County, New York at the Town Hall located at
5910 Sacandaga Road until 10:00 a.m. on July 28, 2006 for the categories of
work and materials necessary to construct the second phase of recreational
fields located on Town owned property.
Bid opening will be immediately following.
The work involves
the construction of a Babe Ruth baseball field and adjacent soccer field area,
(approximately 5.5 acres) the expansion of a gravel parking lot, and drainage
corridor improvements. The work shall be
completed within 90 days of the contract award and is subject to prevailing
Project Manuals, consisting of bidding requirements, bid forms, contract forms, contract conditions, specifications and plans may be examined after July 5, 2006 at the Environmental Design Partnership, 900 Route 146, Clifton Park, New York 12065.
Prospective
bidders may obtain complete sets of documents from the Environmental Design
Partnership upon refundable payment by check or cash in the amount of $50.00
for each complete set. Please make
checks payable to the Town of

RESOLUTION # 36-2006
– Set dates for public hearings on the proposed changes to the zoning
law. Board went into discussion
regarding dates for hearings. Board
would like newsletter to be mailed regarding proposed changes prior to hearing
date. On a motion of Councilman Topper,
seconded by Councilman Weed the following resolution was ADOPTED: AYES – 4 NAYS
– 0
RESOLVED that the Galway Town Board set
public hearing dates for August 1, 2006 & August 29, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at
Town Hall for review of proposed changes
to the zoning law.
