RESOLUTION #
6-2004 – Emergency purchase of front-end loader off state contract. C.W. Hansen stated that the transmission went
in highway department’s current loader.
The price to fix transmission would have been between $18,000 - $22,000
to have repaired. Town loader is 13
years old, and it was used when town purchased it. This machine also has close to 10,000 hours
on it. They have been renting a loader
for $1,150 per week since this broke down.
C.W. Hansen stated that replacement of front-end loader was on five year
plan slated for purchase in 2007. On a
motion of Councilwoman Sutch, seconded by Councilman Tillson the following
resolution was ADOPTED:
AYES – 4 NAYS – 0
RESOLVED that the Galway Town Board
authorize the purchase of a new Front-end loader off state contract to replace
current machine for a sum of $91,450 less trade-in value on old machine of
$18,000, for a total of $73,450.00 to be charged to Account #: DA5130.4
